Chengdu Project Department of CSP Track Department Effectively Conducting Heatstroke Prevention Campaign for Grassroot Employees

Chengdu has suffered from high tempreture since August 2022. In order to meet the power cut requirement by Sichuan Province, the power supply to some lighting equipment in the metro station halls and some air conditioners of Chengdu subway lines has been partically cut down from August 15, and our staff has to work under high tempreture.

To effectively prevent heatstroke of our staff in summer, maintain the health and life safety of the security inspectors of the Chengdu Metro Project Department who work under high temperature, and ensure the safe operation of the Chengdu Metro, the CSP Chengdu Metro Project Department organizes its mangers to work on site, analyze the difficulties faced by the security inspection work, adjust the number of runs at key stations, and formulate work plans accordingly. The Project Department has purchased a total of 5 batches of heatstroke prevention and cooling drugs from July 6, 2022 for the heatstroke prevention and cooling condolence campaign. The security inspection team of Lines 2 and 3 actively responded to the call, and the management at all levels sent the supplies to the security inspectors working on site.

General manager Wang Heniu of the Chengdu Metro Project Department also went to the site to inspect and communicate with the on-site staff. He urged the staff to take good care of themselves and to prevent possible heatstroke, overcome the inconvenience caused by power cuts, and to actively communicate and coordinate with the station for any issues. By effectively improving the working environment of employees at the security checkpoints of elevated stations in summer, and arranging reasonable work breaks, the safety of staff at security checkpoints in summer is effectivley guranteed.
